You may request this tag at your county tag office during the established application period (01-01-2007 thru 12-31-2008) with the $25 manufacturing fee per tag. Important: If the required number of ‘paid’ requests (1,000) is not received by the deadline (12-31-2008), these tags will not be manufactured & the manufacturing fees will be refunded.

You need to have your tag receipt. You need to prepay the manufacturing fee now, instead of waiting until you tag normally renews. You will receive a 2nd tag receipt showing payment of the $25 manufacturing fee. You keep you current tag. After 1000 fees are paid, the tags will be manufactured and mailed out as replacement tags for your vehicle.

After you receive your BSA tag, there is a renewal charge for it each year but $10 of each tag, each year, goes to the BSA.  Why are you still sitting there.
